Grant's present list!

Stuff that's reasonable to get:

Turns out that you can add back seat heater control for passengers in a Model Y. There's two ways - a screen which plugs into the back, or with physical buttons that we can leave in the back seat area.
This is probably a gimmick, but I've gotten about 100 facebook ads for a better stud detector that works with a cel phone.
Some random website convinced me that this book would be worth reading, since I'm an engineer and all.
You remember back in the day, people used a thing called radio? Well now there's a fancy radio receiver that plugs into your laptop. That might be fun.
An under the sink hot water dispenser for in the kitchen. (ooph, I said reasonable, these are sorta pricy)
A family game for our Nintendo Switch.
I have a whole list of games which apparently are family games that we can play with the girls:
  • Death Squared: 1-4 players. Experiment to solve a puzzles.
  • Heave Ho: 1-4 players. Work together to reach goals. Fun, but a little chaotic.
  • Stardew Valley: 1-4 Players. Only 2 player couch co-op, but additional players can join from another console or a computer. Pixel Art. Farm simulator. Chill. Extremely well done game. Incredibly popular title around the world.
  • Duck Game: 1-4 players. Like Smash bros, but with pixel art ducks. A little silly, but very well done.
  • Kingdoms 2 Crowns: 1-2 players. Tower defense. Strategic. Pixel art.
  • Part Time UFO: 1-2 players. Short, but fun, and full of puzzles.
  • Cuphead: 1-2 players. Not for the easily stressed. A formidable challenge. Side scroller shooter in 1930s cartoon graphics.
I could try a fancy toque.
I am finding that I could use a proper staple gun - one that has variable power control, and accepts different types of staples.
I have no need for this, but... maybe if I had one I'd find a reason.
And finally, in this category - I tend to go through a pair of running shoes at least once a year. So a gift card to the Running room would work.

Reliable stuff that's always good:

Peanut butter cake.
home made nanimo bar.
Purdy's Chocolate!

Things which are harder to come by:

The whole family would benefit from a nice new microwave.
A 'reverse' C clamp - one that holds things apart.
Is anything thinking of keeping me safe? Well, then improving horn on my motorcycle would be a huge improvement!
There's hundreds of 3D printers - But I've always liked Anker Products, so maybe their version is one that has some staying power.
Market spice tea, free leaf or in single use bags
more unusual tea
A Variac. Either 120V or 240V is fine. 12 amp capacity.
You can't really buy it in Canada, but the Next gen Huawei phone would be fun to have.
A Tesla Powerwall would be great at protecting against power failures.
A commercial microwave, with crazy lots of power. This thing can replace the entire stove!
Winning lottery ticket. Don't go thinking you can get away with one of those ones which *might* win...
The Tesla Model X Long Range, 7 seater. Any colour.
Yamaha FJR1300... But just check to make sure no one bought me the Tesla - I don't need both!
A nice camera.
